Jackie works as a CCTV operator. Each day she watches over a small part of the world, protecting the people living their lives under her gaze. One day a man appears on her monitor, a man she thought she would never see again, a man she never wanted to see again. Now she has no choice, she is compelled to confront him.

Wo de fu qin mu qin / The Road Home 2000
An incredible great love story, set in China, present day and the past. A picturesque village is where it all happens, young people falling in love, and growing old. I’m not going to tell about the exact story, but I’ll say, if you like a realistic (non-mystical), quiet love story, go see this film! It’s beautiful!
Een ongelooflijk mooi liefdes verhaal, in China, vandaag de dag, gecombineerd met de voorgeschiedenis. Het speelt zich af in een pittoreske dorpje, jonge mensen die verliefd worden…. Ik ga niet verder in op het verhaal, als je een mooie, rustige, realistische, dus niet mystieke film uit China kunt waarderen, kijk dan deze film. Hij is prachtig!
