Mona Lisa 1986
Someone who has been in prison for years, returns to his old neighbourhood, where he once was a criminal with quite a reputation. He now has to start all over again, trying to regain the trust of his now almost adult daughter, and his fellow criminals. In my opinion this film is about getting in touch with your feelings, again. Although being from 1986, the acting is superb, sort of timeless and plausible, one could say, the story could just as well be in the present, too. I enjoyed this quality film, and give it a 7 with a big +.
Iemand komt thuis na jaren in de gevangenis te hebben gezeten. Ooit was hij daar een crimineel met flinke reputatie, maar nu moet hij helemaal overnieuw beginnen, om het vertrouwen te winnen van zijn nu bijna volwassen dochter, en zijn mede criminelen. In mijn ogen gaat de film over het opnieuw in contact komen met je gevoelens. Ondanks dat het een film is uit 1986, is het acteerwerk subliem, soort van tijdloos en geloofwaardig, evenals het verhaal, dat zich net zo goed vandaag de dag zou kunnen afspelen.
